In Towers Of Aghasba one of the starting quest you need to complete to survive against the Withered Spiders is Hoa’s Combat Training. After completing the training, you will obtain a Flint Spear, Bow, and Arrow to protect yourself against the Withered. Below you will find a brief guide on how to complete Hoa’s Training and destroy the withered nest.
Towers Of Aghasba Complete Hoa’s Combat Training
First, you need to learn Observation from Pawel, an NPC who is a farming expert. He will be standing on a cliff that will located on the map. To start the combat training, you will need to scan three different creatures after learning observation. The easiest creatures to scan are:
- Beetlepup
- Withered Razi (Small Spider)
- Skirtau
The Beetlepup and Skirtau can be found near your Colossal Tree biome. Occasionally, you might find the small spider attacking these two creatures. Once scanned, return to Hoa to proceed to the next part of the quest, which involves hunting 2 Fish and 2 Skirtau.
To hunt fish, equip your Flint Spear, aim at a fish, and throw your spear. Be patient while waiting for a slow-moving fish to appear, and then use your spear to hunt it. Skirtau can also be found near your Colossal Tree. Their favorite food is berries. To hunt them, throw berries near the Colossal Tree to lure them in, making it easier to hunt them.
Towers of Aghasba: Destroy Withered Blob/Nest
The final quest in Hoa’s training requires you to defeat 3 Withered Razi (Small Spiders) and destroy the Withered Blob or Nest.
To defeat the Withered Razi, use your Flint Spear. Aim carefully at the spiders and throw your spear to take them down with a single hit. They are relatively easy to kill if you maintain your distance and attack strategically.
Note: You can throw your spear an unlimited number of times, as its durability does not decrease when aiming and throwing. However, using the Flint Spear for melee attacks by left-clicking will reduce its durability.
Once all the spiders near the Withered Nest are eliminated, approach the nest and use your Amity Crystal to cleanse it. Some Withered Nests may have tumors or veins growing out of them. You must destroy all the tumors first and then use your Amity Crystal to fully cleanse the nest and destroy the Withered Blob.
Successfully completing this quest will mark the end of Hoa’s Combat Training, equipping you with the essential skills and tools to survive and thrive against the challenges posed by the Withered creatures in Towers of Aghasba.
