The Fisch game in Roblox has received a new update called “The Depths Expansion Update”, introducing a new area, two new rods, and many new fish to catch. The two new rods added to the game are the Scurvy Rod and a hidden rod called “Rod of The Depths”. While it’s easy to find and obtain the Scurvy Rod, the Rod of The Depths is hidden in an underwater maze that might be quite difficult to locate. Below, you will find a brief guide on how to obtain both of these rods.
Fisch: Where To Find the Scurvy Rod
The Scurvy Rod can be found on Forsaken Shores Island. On the island, you need to locate the treasure map fixer NPC named Jack Marrow. He is located in the middle of the island, inside the right eye of the skull-shaped cave. To reach him, climb up and enter the cave through the left-side ladder. Near the NPC, you will find the Scurvy Rod, which can be purchased for 50,000 credits. You can check out our previous guide on exact location of Jack Marrow.
Fisch: How To Find the Rod of The Depths
The Rod of The Depths is hidden deep underwater, and you need to meet certain requirements before you can find it. These requirements are:
- Find the Depths Key
- Complete the Vertigo Bestiary
How to Find the Depths Key
The Depths Key can be obtained by fishing in the Vertigo area. To enter Vertigo, you need to locate a whirlpool in the middle of the ocean. A text notification will appear at the top of the screen whenever a whirlpool opens. Sail your ship across the ocean to find the whirlpool, as shown in the image above.
There will be multiple whirlpool in the ocean, but you need to look for the one whirlpool that has a shinning light in the middle. Only these whirlpool will take you to the Vertigo, while in other whirlpool you will drown and die losing some of the credits.
Note: Leaving the server and joining again will make the depths door closed. You will have to fish for the depths key again to open it or wait for another player to open the depths door.
How to Complete the Vertigo Bestiary
To open the gate in Vertigo, you must catch 8 types of fish. These fish are:
- Spiderfish
- Night Shrimp
- Twilight Eel
- Fangborn Gar
- Voidfin Mahi
- Abyssacuda
- Rubber Ducky
- Isonade
While all these fish can be caught in Vertigo, the Isonade requires you to cast your fishing rod into the whirlpool. Be careful not to enter the whirlpool, as it will teleport you into Vertigo.
Once you’ve completed both requirements, enter Vertigo, talk to the NPC near the big door, and use the Depths Key to unlock it. Progress through the door to access The Depths.
Inside The Depths
In The Depths, you will find two NPCs and pedestals where you need to place two relics.
- The first NPC is located on the right side of the merchant. Follow the path to a large statue, and beneath the statue, you will find the NPC. In front of this NPC, you will find a blue pedestal where you need to place the Abyssal Relic.
- Opposite of the Blue Pedestal, you will see a waterfall. Swim up the waterfall and to the left, where you will find a ledge. Follow the ledge to another NPC with a Red Pedestal. Here, you need to place the Hexed Enchant.
Once both relics are placed on their pedestals, a secret door will open in the ground between the two NPCs.
Note: Ensure both relics are placed simultaneously. If you place one relic and exit the server, the relic will disappear, and you will lose it.
Fisch Completing the Maze to Find the Rod of The Depths
After the secret door opens, proceed through it and navigate the maze to find the Rod of The Depths. The maze will be underwater so it is recommended to use the Advanced Diving Kit, Tidebreaker, and Super Flipper to complete the maze. At the end of the maze, you need to surface above the water to discover a secret area with a statue. In front of the statue, you will find the Rod of the Depths. The cost of the rod is 750,000 credits, which is quite expensive. Make sure you have enough credits before attempting to obtain the new rod.
The stats of the rod of the depths are:
- Lure Speed – 65%
- Luck – 130%
- Control – 0.15
- Resilience – 8.5%
- Max Kg – 30,000kg
