In Stalker 2, there are various choices you will need to make that will alter the course of the gameplay. Different choices can lead to different quests, potentially changing the game’s ending. One of the choices presented at the start of the game is whether to kill an NPC called “Squint” or spare him. Below, you’ll find a brief guide on how to locate Squint and decide whether to kill or spare him.
Stalker 2 Squint Location
There are two ways to find Squint’s location. The first is to ask the Gaffer about Solder, or you can ask Captain Zotov about Solder during the “Behind Seven Seals” quest. Asking either of them will start the quest “A Needle in a Haystack.”
If you ask the Gaffer about Solder, you will receive an additional side quest called “Invisible Nets,” which will help you find Squint’s exact location upon completion. Alternatively, asking Captain Zotov about Solder will lead to a quest to explore a warehouse with hazard signs. Inside the warehouse, you will encounter bandits who have information about Squint’s location.
Even after speaking with the bandits, a small yellow circle will appear on the east side of the map, marking the Old Mill area. Squint can be found inside the Old Mill, as shown in the image above. Once inside the mill, proceed cautiously and watch for traps set by Squint. Move slowly while crouching to locate and disarm two or three traps.
Kill Or Spare Squint
During your interaction with Squint, you will have the option to kill him multiple times. If you decide to kill Squint, you will be able to obtain the Ward Sensors from him immediately. However, if you choose to spare Squint, you will need to complete an additional side quest called “Piece of Cake.”
In this side quest, you must visit an underground cave filled with mutants to find an artifact called the “Mold Artifact” and exchange it for the “Ward Sensors.”. Now you can hand over the ward sensors to either Captain Zotov or Gaffer which will have some additional quest of their own.
Note: Killing or sparing Squint doesn’t have a significant impact on the story. However, sparing him will grant you an additional side quest and some loot.
