In Fisch, a new update has arrived featuring an event that will last for 7 days, called “The Archaeological Hunt.” During this event, players have a chance to obtain one of the best early-to-mid-game rods, the Relic Rod. Below, you will find a brief guide on where to locate the 10 prehistoric bones required to complete the quest and obtain the Relic Rod.
Fisch 10 Prehistoric Bones Location – Finneus Quest Guide
To start the quest, you first need to find Dr. Finneus. You can locate him on the left side of the starting island in the middle of the ocean. Sail near Dr. Finneus’s boat and interact with him to begin the quest. In this quest, you will have to fish out 10 prehistoric bones around different islands to complete the bestiary.
Note: For some reason, the bestiary is not showing for this particular quest. Nonetheless, you can still complete it by collecting all 10 prehistoric bones.
The locations of the bones are:
- Moosewood Island (Starting Island): Claw Gill, Fossil Fan, & Barracuda’s Spine
- Roslit Bay: Spine Bone, Spine Blade, & Shark Fang
- Mushgrove Swamp: Nessie’s Spine
- Forsaken Shores: Ancient Serpent Skull & Ancient Serpent Spine
- Snowcap Island: Spined Fin
Simply fish around the islands, and if you are lucky, you will obtain these bones easily. Otherwise, you can trade the missing items with a friend. Once you have collected all the bones and completed the bestiary, interact with Dr. Finneus again to obtain a map to the new ancient island. The GPS coordinates for the new island are (3800, 130, 200).
Relic Rod Location & How to Solve the Symbol Puzzle to Open the Cave
In the middle of the island, you will find a pedestal with 9 symbols on it. To open the cave, you need to press the symbol buttons in the correct order. The correct order will be shown on the map obtained from Dr. Finneus after collecting all 10 prehistoric bones and completing the bestiary.
The correct symbol order is different for every player, so you need to complete the bestiary to get the puzzle solution. There has been a glitch in Fisch where you can enter the cave without completing the bestiary or collecting all the bones by turning on Shift Lock and using the Pumpkin Emote to phase through the cave. However, even if you phase through, you won’t be able to buy the relic rod unless you have the credits.
The relic rod is available for 8,000 credits, which is very cheap considering the stats it provides. It is one of the best early to mid game rods. The stats of the rod are:
- Lure Speed: 20%
- Luck: 25%
- Control: 0.05
- Resilience: 20%
- Max Weight: 2,500kg
